The Clarion airport is owned by the City of Clarion and is classified as a general service Airport by the Iowa DOT which can support most twin and single-engine aircraft and may occasionally serve business jets. In 2009 the Clarion airport has 14 based aircraft, three of these are multi-engine planes and accommodates an estimated 2750 annual aircraft takeoffs and landings.
