Local Business Incentives

Wright County and the Clarion community have several economic incentive packages available.

Industrial Tax Abatement

Clarion provides an industrial tax abatement of 3 years. It is structured on a declining scale of 100% in year 1, 75% year 2, and 25% year 3. It is applied to the current levy on city taxes.

Tax Increment Financing

The Clarion City Council and the Wright County Board of Supervisors may use the property tax revenues from the increased taxable valuation that is caused by the resulting construction of a new industrial or commercial property to provide enonomic development incentives.

Revolving Loan Funds

Clarion has access to a number of low-interest funding sources provided by several public and private agencies. We are able to help withthe preparation of applications to the following economic development parties.

Housing Incentives

Clarion is a partner with Wright County Economic Development in providing a low-interest first time home-buyers program through all our local commercial lending institutions.
