State Business Incentives

Businesses locating in Clarion qualify for a number of state-level economic incentives.

Community Economic Betterment Account (CEBA)

The CEBA is focused on providing financial assistance to companies that cretae new jobs, retain existing jobs, or are investing in new capital improvements in their business.

Economic Development Set-Aside (EDSA)

The EDSA program provides financing for companies that create or retain jobs, and are investing new capital in Iowa. This program is specifically designed for each company individually upon the merit of the company's needs.

Value-Added Agricultural Products and Processes Financial Assistance Program (VAAPFAP)

VAAPFAP is focused on adding value to the agriculture commodities through innovation.

New Jobs and Income Program (NJIP)

The Iowa New Jobs and Income Program provides a calculated tax credit and exemption to businesses makign a capital investment, plus creating more jobs meeting wage and benefits targets within five years.

Rise

The Rise program is designed to assist the financing of roadway and infrastructure access to new, potential, or existing businesses. This level of assistance is to the local government entity that seeks help in providing assistance to their businesses. The amount awarded is based on the number of new or retained employers, the level of wages and benefits paid and the timing of the project.
